We all know that fashion editors have the knowledge of which designer is which, what trends are sooo now and what to wear for your body shape but we thought it would be interesting to see what fashion editors wear on a day to day basis. We took four of the hottest names in fashion editorial, including Taylor Tomasi Hill, Joanna Hillman and MaryKate Steinmiller. First up we take a look at Taylor Tomasi Hill, Marie Claire’s accessories editor.
Here we see Taylor in a classic fashion editor outfit consisting of super skinny jeans, showing off her fabulous figure teamed with a jacket with on-trend exaggerated shoulders. The floral pattern of the jacket gives some color to this otherwise mundane outfit. Of course no fashion editor can be seen without her Chanel bag, and Taylor accessories hers with a pink chain to contrast against the blue quilting. Taylor has a fabulous shade of hair which looks great with pretty much any outfit. The patent boots may be slightly too high for you and I to walk around work in but when you work in fashion the satisfaction of wearing the latest trend is worth more than the pain of blisters.
Joanna Hillman, Senior Fashion Market Editor for Harpers Bazzar, is one of the most stylish women by my estimations in fashion. She always looks perfectly turned out and manages to try new trends without going completely overboard. Take a look at her ensemble her, a silk shirt with contrasting collar tucked into tight ankle grazer trousers with a tan belt to highlight her slim waist. Joanne is rarely seen with her statement red lipstick and as you can see here the colour she wears is perfectly for her light complexion. As you move down the outfit you come across the wonder blue satin heels from Miu Miu, which when placed to the animal print tote bag look fashiontastic! No wonder Joanna is nearly at the top of her game dressing like this.
Thirdly we have the supercute Marykate Steinmiller who currently works as Teen Vogues Fashion Market Editor. How gorgeously srumptious does Marykate look in this cream cable knit jumper? She has cleverly teamed the jumper with a more spring appropriate floaty mid length skirt. The tie-dye effect of the material and the length are very on-trend for this season and highlight Marykate’s fabulous figure. Marykate screams New York chic and the tan sandals show she totally knows what is woking from the catwalk.
Susan Cernek, Senior Fashion and Beauty Editor at Glamour magazine, has the fashion editor look down to a tee. How many wardrobe staples can one person wear at one time? First we have the standard dark sunglasses for the front row of the latest catwalk show in Paris or New York. Then we have the striped Breton top, which can be worn any season, any year. This is one piece of clothing that never dates and never goes out of fashion. The camel tapered trousers are specifically good for a/w10 and these are more than likely from the queen of minimalism, french designer Celine. Black pointed courts and a blue pea coat top this look off perfectly.
