I sewed over a pin and the needle broke on my Bernina; one piece fell into the bobbin case and now I have major stitching problems. Le sigh. So the machine is on its way to Neverett’s in Nashua NH and I’ll just have to get it back before I can finish my coat. But here is how it looks so far; the lining is partially in, the black piping really looks good and the fit is perfect. However, I can’t work on it for at least a week and it’s 72 degrees outside and the weather is supposed to be summer-like next week anyway!

Oh, that must be frustrating!
The coat looks so great!
What a shame! The coat is looking wonderful though. The black piping gives it a very sharp, sophisticated look.
And it’s looking soooooo good! Hopefully you will be able to finish it up soon.
Aint that just a kick in the head? I hate when that happens. Can you run it up on your industrial?
Beautiful coat. Maybe you can find another machine to sew on while your’s is getting fixed?
It’s going to be stunning. Darn, I wish we had more opportunities to wear coats and jackets here…
Love the piping touch. Do you have a Zara store near you? I’d love to hear what you think about their summer Chanel-style jackets. Outer fabrics paired with printed organzas as linings and then treated as one layer in construction, with the interior seams finished with seam binding; the jacket edges are serged (outer fabric and organza together) and then covered with fun trim. Very lightweight and perfect for summer.
ahhh that stinks about the machine but man that fabric looks stunning especially with the piping accent. Can’t wait to see it!
Your coat looks great with the black piping, maybe it is time to use the industrial machine you recently bought.
Oh, how discouraging to have machine problems when you are in the middle of a project or on a deadline. I trust my machines to Neverett’s, they have been taking care of my machines for many years now. If I’m in a real bind they are helpful in getting the repairs done fast.
Ooooo…too bad about your machine.
But wow, the coat looks wonderful so far..what a stunner this will be !
It looks great so far! Sorry to hear abou the sewing machine, hope you get it fixed soon
Isn’t it strange how a piece of metal can just DISAPPEAR into a machine? That happened to me before Christmas and that needle tip has NEVER been seen again. I definitely feel for you when you were clearly on a major roll with that beautiful coat! Can’t wait to see it finished.
Just hate when that happens. Hopefully they can fix it and not have to send it to IL.
Love the coat. Love the print, love the piping, everything about it.
