I haven’t seen the pattern, let alone looked at what’s inside this one. I guessed, based on the tutorials I’ve seen, that it would be about the same. And if you got it for 99 cents, as a time saver, you may have come out ahead. Thanks for giving another viewpoint.

I guess I’m one of the unwashed masses, then, because I did buy this pattern to make a Christmas gift for a relative – granted, only during the 99c pattern sale and I would have been reluctant to spend more than that for it. It’s got remarkably detailed instructions, including mitered hems and a foot pocket on the interior side of the blanket that you can’t see on the line drawing. I don’t have a ‘real’ snuggie myself but I’ve been told by those who do that the pattern version is nicer. I knew I could have drafted (if that’s even the word) it myself, but why would I bother, when McCalls and JoAnn’s will give it to me for a buck?

Having seen a real-live snuggie (no – I don’t have one) and seen a totorial or 2 of how to make one, I’d agree that this seems a bit much. I hope this is intended for the same people that need detailed instructions to make the fleece blankets that are just tied around the edges.
